September 16th is Ask a Curator day - a fun way to get involved with the broader community as they ask questions either specifically to venues and organisations, or generally, and you can then find and reply to the queries. It's not just to those with curator in their job title, anyone who is a professional in heritage, museums and galleries is welcome.

Want to explore it? 

Look for and use the hashtag #AskaCurator on Twitter, to ask or answer questions. Some venues also use Facebook, Instagram and tumblr.

Get your venue or yourself involved, and make sure people know about it, by shouting out about your involvement online and letting the brain behind it know here.

It's a simple and fun way to spend even just an hour inviting folks to quiz you, or perhaps a full day as different members of your team interact with your fans online.

My thoughts on seeing a teenage girl, walking down a long wall length cabinet, continually pressing her lips and face against the glass while making beat boxing noises.

“That is foul, doesn’t she know what germs she might pick up and how many people have… Eeehhh, I could suggest she stop, but as this isn’t my museum, and I’m just visiting, she can carry on for now…”
