But at it’s heart, is a group of men trying to kill for religious reasons.
And Guy Fawkes had previously fought on the side trying to put down a popular revolt. The Dutch revolt against King Philip II was successful, and led to one of Europe’s first modern republics.
It’s worth knowing some of the truth behind our myths and heroes.
